Wondering if someone has used the basic Lawson product (S3) - without customization - for a tuition reimbursement plan?  I would like to be able to put in the annual amount the individual employee is approved for (budget) and then track reimbursements as they are made.  Ideally, I would be able to project this into the future.  For example - I apply for tuition reimbursment and am approved for $3,000 each year for 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2015. I know deductions can be treated as add to net, so there are possibilities there.  I appreciate the sharing of any successful plans.  Thanks.

I am also interested in knowing the answer. We are also currently struggling with this and maintain an outside application/database to track Tuition reimbursements.

I know some do it via LP and set it up as an absence plan. We are going to begin using activities management for one of our education assistance programs (forgiveness).

I am not sure how you would handle the taxability if you used deductions.

We hope to automate our tuition assistance in June or July after our mid June "Go Live" for 9.01.

It appears that our organizations have the same or similar requirements.  I will participate in the posts as we progress.

Thanks - I look forward to seeing how it all works out for you.  At this point it seems that every option I consider has a roadblock of some kind.
