After a system reboot, we have trouble starting the db2 instance.

When we perform a dbstart as the instance owner we get the following message on the command line.

SQL1092N  "" does not have the authority to perform the requested command

In db2diag.log we see the following message

OSERR  : ENOENT (2)  "No such file or directory"

We have checked the file permissions (under sqllib), groups the instance owner is assigned to etc. We are drawing a blank. The server's asynchronous mode is ON. What is intriguing is shouldn't the Id be printed next to SQL1092N in the message where a null string is shown. Does that indicate something ?

We appreciate all the help we can get.

    Thanks in advance.
