Crystal XI using Oracle ODBC driver. When I create a new ODBC connection to a Lawson environment and I select a data area within that environment, only the tables that start from AC to MM (including all the L_) show up. Anything past MM does not. If I use the same ODBC connection and use Access instead of Crystal, I can see all the tables beyond those that start with MM. Has anyone else had this issue?

Are you using Oracle's ODBC driver or Microsoft's?
      Which version ?
Do you get an error message?

I'm assuming that in Crystal you're using ODBC (RDO).
There are a couple of other options:
      - use the Oracle Server (native) connection rather than ODBC.
      - Use OLEDB -> Microsoft OLEDB provider for ODBC
      - Use OLEDB -> Oracle OLEDB Provider

It's strange. SQL Server 2005, CRXI, OLEDB - I can't see all of the fields on some of the tables, particularly PRSAGDTL.

OLEDB enforces Lawson security. Is it possible field level security is being used?

Possible, but I doubt it. I have carte blanch here.

Do you mean you can't see the fields when designing the report, or that you can't see the data?

Can't see all of the fields via OLEDB...

It might be a LSF9 security thing. We're looking into it.

Try using the Excel Add Ins Query Buiider and see if you have the same issue. If you do, it's LSF9. If not, it's Crystal and/or OLEDB.

It appears as if the new OLEDB connector (9.0.3) has resolved this. Thanks all.
