Hello - I know this is not Lawson related, but I am in need of feedback. We are in the process of changing primary GPO's & along with that, EDI vendors. I would like to hear from anyone utilizing Contract Expert & what your experience has been using this tool. We understand that our primary GPO's contracts would be sent to the Buyers electronically - is this nothing more than a 832 file? We consider our pricing in Lawson to be our "bible" & we are not clear as to how Contract Expert can be a benefit.

If you prefer to email me directly, please do so to beth.rupp@uchealth.com.

    Thanks.

We've got GHX. If you are using Lawson as your source of truth or have Contract Management, then I'm not sure what CCX would do for you. We had it prior to Lawson offering Contract Management - so to us GHX is our source of truth.

Our GPO is Premier - it feeds nightly to CCX where our contracts folks can review that it looks correct as release the file to Lawson. It isn't an 832 transaction - we use PO536 or just a straight dump to Excel and query to compare it to Lawson.

Our contracts department also loads local pricing to GHX and has settings to show local first then premier. (Although they're in process to start loading locals to Premier and having everything come across the feed.)

The biggest "bang for you buck" is if you use GHX to transmit EDI. You see PO, POA and Contract pricing and uom all at once. Which lets the buyers know if they should argue a price change or accept it at point of order.

Thanks Kat, your comments tell us that we're on the right track. Yes we will use GHX to transmit EDI, & we have always had success maintaining accurate pricing
using the 850 to 855 to Contract 3-way match.
