We have installed RQC in our non production area for testing, I can tell our sys admin says it was an easy install, very few differences from a technical perspective, even the configuration files that are used to switch between views are named the same.

There was just enought changes to get out of patent infringement and not much else that I have seen so far. It looks like total time to install and test vs a new RSS version may increase by less than a day from what we've seen.

If you need more details on the install let me know and I will put you in touch with our sys admin

My production install was fairly straightforward. We are on Websphere 7.0, Environment 9.0.1.5 , Apps 9.0.1.7, Sun Solaris, Oracle 11g.

The only "gotcha" I encountered was in "deploy the rqc.ear on Websphere". (pg 10 in the Install Guide).
(The steps for this are pretty sketchy, sort of "... and then magic happens".)

After my development system install I wrote a note to myself in the install guide: "On step 2 - Map Modules to Servers (of the IBM Guided install) must select both options."

For my Production install I highlighted both the "...cluster=..." and the "...node-..." entries then pressed "Apply".

Fortunately Websphere is fairly forgiving and (in my development install) I was able to go back to The Map Modules step after I had completed the isntall and things didn't work correctly. I believe I had just chosen the node and not included the cluster.
