    We are trying to update changed Lawson Payroll records (PA52.5) with a batch upload through the Lawson Add-In for MS Excel.

    We have the upload file ready with an action of add, but run into a problem with the inquire action buttion.

    How do we include an 'inquire action button' to 'inquire' in an upload? Is this doable? or should we use a different screen?

    I don't think we should need to 'inquire' when uploading. I have a feeling I'm missing something basic with how Lawsons Excel Add-In works. Is there a better way to batch upload record changes to Lawson?

    How do you handle 'Inquire' action buttons through Excel uploads?

      The Excel Upload Wizard normally does an implicit 'Inquire' before a Change, or an 'Add then Change'.

      However, the PA52 screens are particularly cumbersome and complicated to upload against, as you have to fill in a number of hidden fields in order to get them loaded. For more info, see Lawson KB article 130952.
