I'm having an issue setting up a job in jobdef using a token I set up in tokendef.  I have several questions about this whole thing.  I will try to explain:   I set up a token called send_mail in a category called SCRIPTS.  We see 2 catagories one of which is SCRIPTS.  (How do we get more catagories to be displayed if there are any?)  The token points to a unix script to send a simple e-mail to me when executed "/vg01lvol1/lsf/scripts/mailtest.sh".  I can save it and everything is fine with the token.  I then go to jobdef.  I use jobname MAILJOB.  I tab down to form ID and hit F4.  Then F4 to choose Type:  User.  Then down to Data Area/ID:  SCRIPTS.  I can then see my token called send_mail.  I highlight it and hit enter.  I now have a step with a form ID of send_mail.  However, when choosing a DataArea/DataID I hit f4 to select from a list.  Should I see SCRIPTS as a Data Area?  I see 9 other data areas.  when I choose any of them I get "Title Not Found" in the Step Description and "Form ID/Data Area/ID Combination has not been defined" at bottom.  If I try to leave the Data Area blank I get the message "Security Violation" at the bottom.  Should I be seeing SCRIPTS in the list of data areas or not? I'm thinking it a security issue someplace but I'm not the security guy.  We're both trying to figure this out.  We are all new at this with most of our training comming in the form of OJT.   Does anyone have any ideas?  anything would be appreciated.

My guess is that the Data Area is not an Assigned Data Source.

turn off lawsec for a few seconds just to confirm whether it's security preventing you from seeing the dropdown for your productlines. Under DATA AREA/ID, you should see the productline(s).

We turned off security.  we were then able to create a job but didn't have to give it a data area in the step.  In fact I could actually see more Data areas with security off.   the job saved fine.  went to protal and could bring up the job and submit it and it work fine.   Turned secuirty back on and when we did an inquire no job.   Interesting....

Assuming you are using LAUA security, you'll have to grant access to the User Token

In laua, bring up the Security Class, press F6, then select C) User Form ID

You'll probably see a fairly blank screen, with no User categories listed. Cursor down to the detail area and press F4.

You should then see the User category SCRIPTs. Highlight and select it.

Now SCRIPTS should appear in the detail list. Highlight it and press F6 TKNSEC.

Probably another blank screen. Cursor down to the detail area and press F4

Your token should be listed here. Highlight and select it.

Save out and you should be able create/access jobs with that user token
